The Clemente Museum works to honor the memory of Hall of Fame baseball player Roberto Clemente, and to promote the good deeds he accomplished in his life. In terms of those who visit the Clemente Museum….”some will come to remember, some will come to learn. All will leave inspired.”
Roberto Clemente played 18 years for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had a stellar career, finishing with exactly 3,000 hits.
“Off the field, he built a reputation as a humanitarian, with a passion to help children through sports.”
Clemente died in a plane crash at age 38. He was taking part in a rescue mission that was delivering aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua.
